The highly impact-resistant construction makes it suitable for heavy-duty use. The VX-800EEX complies with European standards ATEX EN-50014 and 50020 EEX ib IIC T3., MILSTD 810 C/D/E standards, splash and dust, shock, vibration, temperature, humidity and solar radiation, therefore high quality and safety. Two versions are available for each frequency band (VHF or UHF): the –AC (with 16-key keyboard) and the –SC (without keyboard).
It is also equipped with a robust clip for fastening to a belt, while the dimensions are 58 x 110 x 28.9 mm (L x H x D) with a weight of 300 g (with battery).

Alphanumeric Display
A large 8-character alphanumeric display shows the current channel and the called/calling code. The display can also be reversed, which is convenient when the VX-800 is belt-mounted.

ATEX compliant battery
The VX-800EEX uses a 1100mAh NiCd battery (FNBV-800EEX) compliant with ATEX standards that ensures long autonomy.

High audio power 500mW 
Ideal for listening to communications even in noisy environments, high power thanks to an adequate speaker, which makes any message intelligible.

CTCSS / DCS / 5-TONE SELECTIVE
The sub-audio tone function (CTCSS), DCS (Digital Code Squelch) are programmable from PC, both in encoder and decoder, slaved to the radio channel. The DCS function is ideal in areas with a high presence of RF signals and allows superior immunity without unwanted squelch openings. The F5-D14EEX ATEX compliant selective calling module (optional) allows sending codes with selection of up to 5 or more digits from the 16-key keyboard. It also has the following functions: display of the caller’s code, sending alternative call, double and triple transmission sequence, sending of your ID when pressing or releasing the PTT, auto answer, optical/acoustic warnings of incoming calls, 3rd reset tone, 1st long tone, alarm, single/group/general/priority/urgent call, “killer” function for remote disabling of the operating functions and its possible re-enabling.
